Patrick Norman

Spatial Ecologist

Patrick Norman is a research scientist at Griffith University. Working alongside Prof. Brendan Mackey, he works closely with the Great Eastern Ranges. He specialises in remote sensing and geographic information systems, assessing human and natural impacts on forests and habitat connectivity.

Working on projects from local to global scales, Dr Patrick Norman has published work for the FAO and helped create methods for assessing forest maturity at continental scales. He has recently been working with GER to assess habitat connectivity throughout Australia to identify important areas for protection and restoration.
