Since purchasing Toledo, a 200ha merino sheep farm in the NSW Southern Tablelands, Dr Robyn Alders has been working with GER’s regional partnership, Kanangra-Boyd to Wyngala Link and other organisations to improve the health and biodiversity of her property by establishing a production system that works with nature.
This has included planting native trees and shrubs to reconnect patches of red gum woodland, provide vital habitat for local wildlife and improve the health of the farm’s stock and soil. New-age Habitech nest boxes have also been installed along the newly established tree line to provide homes for the property’s hollow-dependant gliders and other animals.
