Connecting for Wildlife Movement webinar

The final webinar in the successful 2021 Art of Connecting series, Connecting for Wildlife Movement, was held on 2 November 2021.

MC’d by Justine Daw, Director on Reconnecting Northland’s Board, the webinar bought together expert panellists from across Australia and New Zealand to explore the critical importance of well-connected landscapes for wildlife survival and adaptation and how to convert science into action.

Panellists included Gary Howling, connectivity conservation expert and CEO of the Great Eastern Ranges, Millan Ruka, who established Northland’s Environmental River Patrol, Keith Bradby, CEO of Gondwana Link, Dr Kylie Soanes, conservation biologist from the University of Melbourne and Eamon Nathan, CEO of Reconnecting Northland.

The Art of Connecting series is run by the Conservation Across Large Landscapes Australia New Zealand (CALLANZ) network which comprises the Great Eastern Ranges, Gondwana Link in Western Australia and Reconnecting Northland in New Zealand. The series seeks to aid the practice and science of connectivity conservation through the sharing of knowledge, tools and lessons learnt.
