Our Role

Since 2007, the Great Eastern Ranges (GER) has been working with partners to stem the loss of native wildlife and their habitats, provide natural solutions to our climate, biodiversity and wellbeing challenges, and ensure the health and resilience of the ecosystems that sustain us.

GER serves as a backbone organisation for connectivity conservation, bringing people together around a shared vision for nature and filling the gaps in resources, capacity, capability and knowledge needed to catalyse actions that reverse the prevalent impacts of habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation. We also play a core role in influencing key policy change and advancing best practice by enabling the valuable cross-sharing of experience and expertise through our growing local and global network of partners.
